Pre-Order Wall.E on Blu Ray & DVD!

Ladies and Gentlemen, the latest Pixar masterpiece is out on Blu-Ray and DVD... next Monday!

(That's the 24th November to you and me.)

And.. of course, the film I'm talking about iiiis.... WALL.E!

Waaaaaaaaaall.E

And so, to mark the occasion, I thought I'd trawl through the main internet retailers and find the best deals for y'all. As with all pre-orders though, it's not necessarily the best price we're after, but what free stuff and limited edition packaging comes with it!

I've actually decided to go Blu-Ray on this one, because frankly, the film is beautiful. If you've seen it already then you'll know - Pixar's animation team really pulled something special out the bag with this one, and it simply commands Blu-Ray!

As an interesting aside, it seems a lot more retailers and magazines are starting to promote Blu-Ray a bit more now. Empire even have their own (fairly substantial) section in their magazine now dedicated solely to Blu-Ray releases. It's a bit weird really, because most reviews are all old films that are just coming out again in the new format.. but ANYWAY.. I'm getting lost.. here's the deals...

Amazon
Boooooo!! Nothing from Amazon again on the 'special stuff' front. It seems that they never have any decent pre-order goodies, oh well..

Wall.E Blu-Ray
with nothing else - £16.98

Wall.E 2 Disc Special Edition DVD
with nothing else - £12.98

HMV
Wall.E Blu-Ray with exclusive art cards - £16.99

Wall.E 2 Disc Special Edition DVD with exclusive art cards - £12.99

Play.com
Wall.E Blu-Ray with nothing else - £16.99

Wall.E 2 Disc Special Edition DVD

with exclusive Play.com 'Activity Tin' (hmm)
- £17.99

Wall.E 2 Disc Special Edition DVD
with nothing else - £12.99

If I was going for the DVD I'd be seriously tempted with that Activity Tin (whatever the hell it is), but looks like the HMV Blu-Ray art cards are calling my name!

And now to finish - Pixar's forthcoming feature film UP looks very interesting indeed. I love the fact that they alsways seem to be doing something new and interesting. This particular film looks to be a grand old adventure! What do you think?

I know, I was really gutted that I didn't go for Ratatouille in Blu-Ray, so there was no doubt when it came to this - most def!
