Blu-Ray-Spot UK

Interesting article found here which suggests that Blu-Ray sales will overtake the sale of standard definition DVDs by 2012. This further blurb sounds really interesting as well:

Still, with studios ramping up Blu-ray releases to keep up with increasing demand for HDTV sets and introducing features like BD-Live interactivity and 3-D capabilities, greater consumer awareness of Blu-ray and falling prices for its players are likely to feed demand that will help Blu-ray disc sales cross what many analysts expect to be the $1 billion threshold this year.

BD-Live interactivity and 3-D capabilities... eh? I have to admit, the few films I've seen on Blu-Ray I've been thoroughly impressed with. It seems to be a really versatile format, and the picture is stunning when you marry it with a decent HDTV. I guess I still have a few more years before I have to start worrying about a domain change though eh?

I think when laptops/PCs come with blu-ray drives as standard it will help boost bluray.

Is there a guy called ray in the blue man group?
