Ratatouille - C'est magnifique!

Oo la la! Zees rat, he iz ze best non?

I've just pre-ordered Pixar's Ratatouille from Play.com and am sitting here getting excited about finally seeing it. I'm a bit rubbish with seeing things at the cinema sometimes, even if it's a film I really want to see. Anyway that explains why this one initially passed me by.. but lets look at the pro's here:
  • Pixar
  • Brad Bird
  • Say no more
Pixar have an almost flawless back catalogue and represent absolute quality. I'm sure you already know this.. but when you add Brad Bird to the equation it can only get better, as he's already proved on The Incredibles.

One of the biggest draws for me was the fact that they're offering the Pixar Short Films Collection with it in one nice big set. It only works out at about £3 more than just Ratatouille on its own, so quite a bargain. I actually went to the Pixar exhibition up in London seveal years back and got to see a lot of their really early shorts - which were all excellent. I just can't help but love such artistry and such obvious passion. It's clear from their short films, it's clear from their feature length films and I'm sure it'll be clear from this. Conzeeeder me impressed, oo la la!

Have you seen For the Birds? That one's really funny. Yup.

Yes, in fact that was the one video that I kept showing to people in order to convince them of Pixar's greatness. Apparently the new one they screened with Ratatouille was really good too..

I got really excited about this and then someone told me it was rubbish, i guess I'll have to watch it myself and find out.

Sounds like they're either misinformed or in the complete minority then..

I mean I can't say until I've seen it, but it received glowing praise across the board and was repeatedly referred to as 'Pixar's Best'.. quite an achievement.

Oh Jimmy, I watched this at the weekend and just didn't like it as much as I thought I would...

You lie! Either you lie or you're stupid. There I've said it.

I can't believe you called me stupid. No matter how true it is.

Maybe you just had a weird blackout during all the good bits? (ie, the ENTIRE FILM)
